Public Information

Records kept by the Clerk of Courts office are public records with the exception of juvenile records and involuntary commitments.

Our criminal and traffic records are located in the basement floor of the Courts Facility Building.  There are two public computer terminals located in that office for research of these records.  Criminal background checks for Moore County may be obtained at that location.  There is a charge of $10.00 for each criminal record check and you must pay with cash or money order.

Civil, Estate and Special Proceedings records are located in the first floor office of the Courts Facility Building.  There are two public terminals for research of these records located in that office.
